Still the best source for this great concert as far as boot releases go. (and according to some even a better source than the FTD release).

the FTD is made from the same source as the famous 1977 - LP release;
this source is better.

Unfortunately I don't have an original copy of "Auld Lang Syne", so I can't 'really' compare the two. Could you explain why this is the better source ?

Like a fool, i sold my copy of this ( for a good price i admit ) when i learned that the FTD was out. Wish i hadn't now. From memory, i think that the sound was fuller, whilst being not quite so clear. Meaning that this source, i think when they cleaned it up...also took something away (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Still, one of my favorite import releases out of all thats been relesaed. The performance is simply Magical. The sound is very good, certainly good enough to listen too. I'm just glad that we have this show in good sound plus we have awesome footage of about the entire concert!!!

Previously released in 1990 on CD Rockin' with Elvis New Year's Eve (HNY CD 76/77). This CD was taken from the LP and a few tracks were ommitted due to space time.
