Hiya Gang,

I've just been looking through a few albums and came across my 3-LP boxset called American Trilogy released in 1981 on the Imperial Records label (produced in association with RCA).

The album was then released on 3 CD's called "Elvis Presley: Special Edition" in 1988 or 1990.

Exactly the same 50 tracks used:
LP1 1955-1958
LP2 1958-1968
LP3 1968-1974

The CD was bought from Argos of all places!! Picked up the albums years ago from a second-hand record shop.

Will try and sort out some scans soon ...... Keep Rockin' (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/00000407.gif) Mark

This CD Set was the ONLY known RCA BMG CD that incl. the Original 2 Track master of Long Legged Girl witha short dress on INCL. the unedited long Drums Intro. The Double Trouble VINYL LP Master Take!!
All others had the edited Version or a Remix!!

Now I think the Original unedited Version can be found also on the FTD CD Double Trouble!

Its a very Rare set and diff to find.

A most wanted item from 1975: The Reader's Digest box. 6 albums. If you put them together the backsides forms a poster from September 3rd, 1973. It also contains a booklet and a bonus album.
I would give up a part of my body to get it complete.

There it is!

I want them as well! I had them at some point, my dad ordered them for me when I was 10 or 11. But I gave um up to a cousin who wanted them, and now I regret it!!!! Darn it, I was 12 or something! What did I know??? (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/confused.gif)

What would be a reasonabe price to pay for them, if I come across them?

Back than the box was priced, if I remember it right, about hfl. 70,- or hfl. 90,- (dutch guilders, that would make EUR 40,- or EUR 50,-. That was back in 79/80.

When I first got a computer way back in '99, when I found Ebay I went wild buying LPs, most of mine are still sealed. When I get a pretty good chunk of my cd collecting caught up I will go back to collecting vinyl or maybe while things are slow with the cd collecting. Eventually it's going to come full circle and I will have to start collecting memorabilia again.
