A most excellent release, a stunning show where some parts are released before, some are totaly new.
The whole concert by itself in this complete form is "new" to us, an outstanding rock-show.
There are funny moments too during the introductions, it's lighthearted and fun.
FTD treats us this time also with an outstanding booklet with lots of new pics and great liner notes by witness Ann Moses.

The audiomix is done by Vic Anesini,it's very vintage and tight, the way all recordings should sound.
Higly recomendable!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif)

Today I finally got this one, along with the new "Guitar Man" FTD. There's not much I can say... the August '69 shows are very similar to each other, for reasons that are understandable, but I still absolutely love them. EP always seems to have his energy levels through the roof, in great voice and the rock numbers are just that... ROCK at it's finest! I must be in the minority but I also always enjoy listening to the monologue/life story bit... I always know what EP is about to say, but it's just so cool to hear him go through his career in his own words.

Love the fact that FTD decided to go for a little better presentation this time too... the artwork is definitely much above their average effort, although their titles still need some more imagination. The booklet is defintiely a big plus and ALL the photos featured on it and the covers are fabulous! ..... Whenever the next August 1969 show will hit the streets I will buy it, no questions asked... they're always worth the money.
