We're gonna live it up
The song was written by Leiber & Stoller and selected for the movie Loving you. There's nothing known about a recording but it could be the missing track P on 17 january 1957?. Added a part from the press-information. colonel snow

I will if you will
For the second RCA session in jan. 1956 it was suggested to record the song "I will if you will". John Berry recorded a song with the same title in 1997 but I doubt it's the song offered to Elvis on 17 january 1956. colonel snow -------------------- |

Rejected LP
Planned for release around 1987 was LP A legendary performer volume 5; for unknown reasons it was rejected. Here is the track list: Side A Puppet on a string (probably one of takes 7-10-11); Lonely man (take 1); Forget me never (take 3); In my way (take 3); Ask me (1963); Singing tree (11 september 1967 - take 13); Side B Night rider (take 1 f.s. / take 3); I'm yours (take 2); I met her today (master); A mess of blues (take 1); It feels so right (take 1); Fool (2:33 - master); I'll add tape legends from this rejected release as compiled by Joan Deary; it's remarkable that the tapes are originally compiled in 1982/1983 for release on ALP vol. 4 but we know this release from 1984 has other tracks. The song The lady loves me finally made it on ALP vol. 4; You're the boss was choosen for inclusion in the box A golden celebration in 1984 but was cut. colonel snow

Ain't nobody gonna take me place
The song was written by Red West around 1959; the demo version was sold at the big Graceland auction in 1999 (50's section lot no 229) together with a demo version from You'll be gone. Red West recorded the song himself in 1960 (Sonnet 2960) colonel snow -------------------- |

According to an agreement signed 7 december 1956 the rights of 15 songs were transferred from Elvis Presley Music Inc to Glady Music, Inc.
Listed are songs which were never recorded by Elvis: - I love you so much it hurts; - No letter today; - Worried mind; - At mail called today; - One has my name one has my heart; - It makes no difference now; - Someday. Without doubt Elvis got demo-acetates from these songs but I've not seen paperwork to confirm. At the moment I've no more information about these songs. colonel snow
