This is a MUST!!!

Rehearsals for a new wave of concerts, which would boil down to just one, for the reactions of the audience.

Elvis surprises me in that he gave up at the first attempt...makes it even more unusual!!

It's a shame Elvis didn't stick with these newer songs for a bit longer. It would have made for some more interesting shows - I guess we have the audience's poor reaction to blame.....

I'm listening to this concert right now, great show. I wish Elvis would have kept doing his shows this way with the new material and using BIG BOSS MAN instead of the usual CC Rider.

there is a tracklist with rehearsels from 12 aug. 1974 and beside the common tracks Elvis rehearsed:
Fool - I walk the line - Hello Josephine - She's not you - Suzie Q - Whole lotta shaling goin' on - It's a matter of time.
we can hope that the tape survived and will be released in future like on this cd set.

other rarities from this rehearsel are: Wabash Canonball - Faded love - I just can't help believin' - I'll remember you - The first time I ever saw your face - The twelfth of never

The twelfth of never

the original version was recorded in 1956 by Johnny Mathis (Columbia 60993)

You'll find versions by Johnny Mathis on Youtube; perhaps you'll find the original version somewhere on the web.

The 19-08-74 opening show was previously released in 1994 on CD If you talk in your sleep (Fort Baxter 2094).
