King Creole Acetates

I never understood the release of this crap and the popularity of the LP and later on CD; the tracks originate from a home made tape with editing songs / working with pitch control to lengthen a song etc from excisting takes and give these fake takes a wrong take number. The only thing you can do with this LP is painting and put it on the wall with a big nail. The CD you can use as an undertaker in the household.

LP The king yesterday and today

The LP was released around 1973 and originates probably from France. It had a white cover without pictures and on the backside a stencilled flyer with the tracklist.
Blanc label.
Later on around 1980 re-released with the cover as shown in various colours.

I've sold my original copy because the music was available in better sound quality through the years.

tracklist
C’mon everybody (movie) – Dominic (movie) – Memphis Tennessee (06-08-73 O) – Hound dog (17-02-72 D) – A big hunk o’love (17-02-72 D) – Got a lot o’livin’ to do (movie) – Treat me nice (movie) – Interview – Wild in the country - An American trilogy (17-02-72 M) – My baby’s gone – Teddy bear (movie) – Got a lot o’livin’ to do (movie) – Baby what you want me to do (06-08-69 D) – A cane and high starched collar (movie) – The lady loves me (movie)

Addition to the bootleg book (entry 624):
C'mon everybody = movie master = track 2002 take with overdub handclap track 2501 take 3 / ending track 2502 take 1;

Hound dog = 17-02-72 M;

A big hunk o’love = 17-02-72 M;

Got a lot o'livin' to do = movie version track D take 17;

Treat me nice = movie version track 2008 splittake 10-13;

An American trilogy = 17-02-72 M;

The lady loves me = movie version track 2010 take 10;

Baby what you want me to do = 06-08-69 D.

LP Live in Atlanta

Released around 1979 is one of the worst Lp's. It contains portions of the 30-12-76 concert in Atlanta. The sound is taken from Super 8mm home video camera and transferred from cassette to vinyl. Most of the songs are incomplete as is the concert too.

label TCB 1-8

The tracklist is:

LP Eternal Elvis

The LP was released in 1978 with a limited edition from 250 copies; soon followed by a second edtion with a different cover (cover of the second editon is shown).
Both editions were counterfeited several times.

No label but in red vinyl; at the time a nice release with "new" tracks directly taken from the movies.

There are tributes by several artists and the Elvis' songs are:
Old shep (T 5) – You don’t know me (movie) – Signs of the Zodiac/VIOLET (movie) – Swing down sweet chariot (movie) – The lady loves me (movie) – C’mon everybody (movie) – Love me tender (end title) – Dainty little moonbeams (movie) – Fame and fortune (26-03-60) – Stuck on you (26-03-60) – The next step is love (movie) – The truth about me - One broken heart for sale (T 1) – Jambalaya (04-05-75 aft.) – It hurts me (undubbed) – Party (spliced version) – Huskey duskey day (movie) – I’ll be home for Christmas.

LP Elvis, The legend of a king

The LP was released in sept. 1980.

label: Associated Broadcasters AB 1-1001.

On this picture disc are no songs; it contains interviews and the story of the king.

As far as I know the LP was released on a double CD in the early 90's with extra complete songs.
