Dublin born Imelda May is on BBC Breakfast TV shortly she usually speaks well of her mother's and her own love of Elvis's music. This lady is really down to earth! She performed at the BBC Elvis Tribute Concert in Hyde Park London. Love the dress. :-) -------------------- |

Yes i have her MAYHEM album, it really rocks, she is without the most exciting new female artist at the moment, she has that hint of danger in her music that El had.

Yes dennyelvis, she has a lot of talent. Here she is wearing an Elvis Presley T-shirt. Imagine how her comparitively young audiences will react to that. :-) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geVxHPC9OD8...layer_embedded#! -------------------- |

She looked and sounded great this morning on the BBC, and Darrel looked pretty cool in his Cochran T - shirt too. -------------------- |

To be honest, before this topic I had no idea who Imelda May was... but I took the liberty to use the allmighty Youtube's services and listened to a few of her songs... the ones that came up first with a search... 'Johnny's Got A Boom Boom', 'Mayhem' and 'Psycho'... and it's easy to admit, I like what I'm hearing... and from a male's perspective, I also very much like what I'm seeing... I'll more than likely buy her album in the very near future. Thanks Maurice.

The majority of Imelda fans already know who Elvis is. She looked and sounded great this morning on the BBC, and Darrel looked pretty cool in his Cochran T - shirt too. Obviously. But I'm thinking of all the other viewers who do not know Imelda, or her love of Elvis's music. I also spotted Imelda's husband wearing a Sun label T-shirt on another BBC tv show. :-) Imelda May support on facebook became a friend today. -------------------- |

'Mayhem' is a fantastic cd J, you won't regret buying it. Oh and it's no.20 in the UK charts. We are going to see Imelda on the 11th February here in Newcastle. Can't wait. It's lovely to see her and Darrel doing so well. We've known them personally for nearly 14 years ( Darrel longer) and it's exciting to see them grow together.

That's cool to hear, Mags.
I was just checking the "Mayhem" cd over at cdon.com... that's where I usually buy my 'non-Elvis' music as they have a super fast delivery... ...without a doubt, I will be placing my order very soon. |

It's always nice to 'discover' a new talent, especially such a lovely lady with a lot of personality and charm. Not to mention her exciting singing and gifted songwriting. Not since Kate Bush have I been so taken by a female star. -------------------- |

Just checked her out Maurice....she is a cool cat for sure (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rockon.gif) Yes vegas, Imelda May is quite an outspoken young lady and is going places, faster..now as more and more TV show hosts invite her and more of her stuff appears on forums and youtube. Yes Chris, discovering her work has been an eyeopener. I too will be buying her music. Might even check out her next Concert in Vicar street Dublin, only yards from where she grew up. :-) -------------------- |
