Through the years I've sold a lot of poor import CD's from my collection; I kept a "safety" copy on CDR. The reason for selling this original CD was that I got a much better sounded replacement on tape/CDR etc. On this way my total number of CD's will not rise in my collection.

I have so many cdrs in boxes thats what i first started to collect. Guess it was wanting to have all the albums at once. Awhile back i started trying to get originals, its a much slower process but its so much better having coverart etx to look at then blank disc..just so so much more experience but then again what hobby isnt.

I count my cds and the double cds, I count them as 2. A box set of 5, I count them as 5. That's the way I count my cds.

HI
I count doubles as 2 and box sets as how many they are 4 or 5 etc.
I keep all the Cd s in their boxes and take them aout accordingly,
and like others if I buy them sealed I keep them sealed & like others
it drives my wife up the wall especially as my son does the same !!!!

Hi Alan

Welcome to TKC (IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome2.gif)

I count them like that too - but don't have the will power to leave them unwrapped except for the Elvis Aaron Presley vinyl- which my dad unwrapped by the way, when I was not home

I agree with you Chris, only "orginal cds" should count.. Well LPs,Casettes,Vinyls etc. Aswell. But not copies.
It has happends more than once that I've met bragging about their Elvis collection, then when you go to their house and ask "where is the collection" they have turned on computer and pointed their finger at maps and folders with MP3's. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/LSHIC.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/LSHIC.gif)

But I can see how backups of orginals sold, can be counted.. But I myslef would never sell my orginals... Uh.. Unless the price was right ofcourse. ;) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/whistling.gif)
