Stovall - B. George) There's a long line of mourners Driving down our little street Their fancy cars are such a sight to see, oh yea They're all rich friends who knew you in the scene And now they've finally brought you Brought you home to me When you left you know you told me That some day you'd be returnin' In a fancy car, all the town to see, oh yea, Well now everyone is watching you You finally had your dream, yea You're ridin' in a long black limousine You know the papers told of how you lost your life, oh yea The party, the party and the fatal crash that night Well the race along the highway, oh the curve you didn't see When you're riding in that long black limousine Through tear filled eyes I watch as you pass by oh yea A chauffeur, a chauffeur at the wheel dressed up so fine Well I never, I never, never, never Oh my heart, all my dreams yea, they're with you In that long black limousine Yea, yea, they're with you in that long black limousine Yea, yea, they're with you in that long black limousine Takes: XPA5 1142 January 13 (Mon.): 19:00 - 22:00 Take 01 FS 1:02 Preceeded by rehearsal Take 02 LFS 2:38 Take 03 FS 0:34 Take 04 FS 0:43 Actually announced as "take number 4" Take 05 FS 0:50 "We're rolling, number 5" Take 06 PB 4:30 Take 07 FS 0:29 Take 08 FS 0:24 Take 09 (M) Further overdubs: Long Black Limousine (vocal repair) XPA5 1142 January 22 (Wed.): 01:00 - 04:00 V.O. One of my all time favorite songs of Elvis....truly such a passionate song, I remember crying when I heard this "Gem" for the first time.....He sang it so beautifully and you really do believe what he is saying, he truly sings from the heart and that's what makes a true artist....believing in what your singing....I just get chills everytime I hear this song...I always listen to it before I end my day...It soothes me and haunts me for some reason lol.....And Great great info Steve! It's very Informative! (IMG:http://elvis-tkc.com/forum2/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
