Hi Folks!
The forum software has been updated to the latest version. Also I made some manual bugfixes: *PM box will no longer show a negative number.. i.e. "You have -25 new messages" *Gallery section has been fixed to show the username of the member who uploaded the photo instead of showing "Guest". *Text should now stay highlighted when you want to apply more than 1 modification (i.e. bold/italic/etc) so you don't have to keep re-highlighting it. (Tested in Mozilla Firefox 3.09) *Other minor bugfixes As with any updates to the forum software, if you notice any bugs/problems - please let me know ASAP! -------------------- Sincerely,
Jordan **Please send all tech support requests to: tech@elvicities.com with a detailed report explaining the issue.** |

I just added a picture to the Gallery 1950s section. with 10 lines of Info
Of course no one will know, because it's not added to the ACTIVE ELVIS POSTS OF THE DAY (Off Topic - All Elvis Topic etc.,) which doesn't help the KINGS COURT GALLERY. WHICH REMAINS MOSTLY HIDDEN AWAY. I feel if someone makes the effort to Up load a Elvis Photo and adds a good few Lines of Info to it It is as important as I HAVE ADDED SOMETHING TO MY COLLECTION TODAY - for example I think.. The KINGS COURT - GALLERY of ELVIS PHOTOS should be regarded as an asset to the Forum, an Extra Reason for logging on to View Everything - a NEW ADDITION Photo should be mentioned in the ALL THE DAYS ACTIVITIES.. and maybe as part of the planned change to the portal page see Sample Change to the current Old Design.. Extra to the above, and adding it in the Active Topics of the Day... On the Portal page the Right side has "SIX" of the most interesting current Elvis Topics of the Day. If a photo is added, couldn't it be featured as One of these "6" for a short time ?? (Sample Mock up of the Page, with Photo Active Topic of the Day. shown --"Not to Scale") -------------------- |

Hi Rex.
Thanks for the response. The "Gallery" and the "Forum" are two separate components in the system. So I am not sure if it can do what you're asking. There may be a way to make the gallery stuff more visible, but I'm not 100% sure. I'm sure Chris can verify that once he reads this thread. As for the Gallery - it is definitely an asset to the forum! No ifs, ands, or buts about it! -------------------- Sincerely,
Jordan **Please send all tech support requests to: tech@elvicities.com with a detailed report explaining the issue.** |

I think there is something not right with the edit buttons on the Happy Birthday reply and the Famous date reply.
If you set these maybe you check if settings are right. Not everyone has the same computer works like MAC/Apple or Windows XP. Some of you don't see what problems we see because you got higher priced broadband package or different computer. Whether that makes adifference in your PC working right. I think some of you are unfair to say there is nothing wrong. We would not complain if there was nothing wrong. I got laughed out of the trivia quiz just because the submit button wasn't working on two occasions. This is what I don't like when some of you got better computers even though ours is new and up to date. -------------------- Frank

Thats a site that is run by someone else. I have had problems in the past. It happens. I don't go on about it. So i don't win - its just for fun anyway. ... Hi Folks! * Text should now stay highlighted when you want to apply more than 1 modification (i.e. bold/italic/etc) so you don't have to keep re-highlighting it. (Tested in Mozilla Firefox 3.09) As with any updates to the forum software, if you notice any bugs/problems - please let me know ASAP! Sorry to have to report that the TEXT doesn't stay highlighted, you have to still Re-Highlight it for each New Change.. "Sorry again about that". -------------------- |

Hi Rex --- At the top right of the edit pane there's a button with two arrows that allows you to "Switch between standard and rich text editor".. In Rich text (using the latest Firefox) the text stays highlighted. I haven't tested this in IE/Opera or Safari though, but will soon.

In Rich text (using the latest Firefox) the text stays highlighted. I haven't tested this in IE/Opera or Safari though, but will soon. Thankyou Jordan, yes the 2 arrows Rich Text works OK (I don't use Firefox, tried it a few times, it made other computer things I do difficuilt - so went back to Internet explorer Latest Update...) The New Random Photos - along the Top, with the Elvis Photos, is much better than what we had before. If you find any other ways of improving it, that would be good also. In the Blue banner above them, could you add "CLICKING" on any photo shows it larger and takes you to the Section in the Photo Gallery it is Located with similar dated ones. ?? (not sure if its You or Chris..) At the moment its RANDOM, So how often will it change Please? (while posting this I noticed its already changed so thats answered Sorry,) would it pick latest Added=(Random) instead of General Random? Sorry just trying to figure out what might happen in the future.... A lot of good pictures are resting in ALL TYPES OF TOPICS and POSTS, some current and some now on more distant pages..... Would I be right in thinking that when we upload these to KC for our Topics, they are stored in One place? with the file number used given to each Photo Attachment, - would it be easy to get to and go through them, to move a lot of them into the Gallery??? Again thanks for improving this some much better than before.. SincerELy ... REX Extra Note.. have been watching the Photos change, and can tell it will be a Few Hundred every Hour, which is GREAT. Will Guests be able to watch this, without logging on? also some Recent New Members have been saying to me they still can't see the Pictures In any of the Topics !!! -------------------- |

Hi Rex,
Just a quick reply for now.. The random images will change each and every time you visit the portal, or click "reload" on your browser. -------------------- Sincerely,

Once again a step in the right direction.....but it won't end there. We are continually looking to improve things. The newest version of the Gallery is superb...it has a few fixes that i need to do ( buttons etc )...but that should all be sorted when i find the right skin for the forum. It even allows you to chose any picture in the gallery as your avatar..and sizes it for you...cool huh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif)
This week we have added a dedicated streaming server to the list of improvements at TKC ( see the Radio section for more details). We are working hard in the background to bring you these new improvements. More to come................ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbup.gif) -------------------- |

In the Blue banner above Randam Photos, could you add "CLICKING" on any photo shows it larger and takes you to the Section in the Photo Gallery it is Located with similar dated ones. ?? Or edited shorter but giving similar info! A lot of good pictures are resting in ALL TYPES OF TOPICS and POSTS, some current and some now on more distant pages..... Would I be right in thinking that when we upload these to KC for our Topics, they are stored in One place? with the file number used given to each Photo Attachment, - would it be easy to get to and go through them, to move or duplicate them into the Gallery?? (re-edited from first post, and updated for current situation) Any chance of a few thoughts on the above Chris? MEMBERS LINKS (Very Top Right Button) This now has the links for SEARCH GALLERY HELP CALENDAR MEMBERS in case anyone was wondering what happened to these, and how to get to them...... Do you think that "GALLERY" and "SEARCH" should be hidden away on this link Button ? Also instead of Gallery, could it say instead PHOTO GALLERY please... -------------------- |
