A new section covering Elvis' US Extended Play releases, 1956-1996, is now to be found in the Discographies section...

I agree with Chris this is a great addition to the forum and it is nice to see decent size covers to look at also, I notice it is all US. Will we be getting the pleasure of ones from other countries also ?. think those would be great to see

It's a great addition indeed.
I know this is a little off-topic... in a way... But I was thinking that would it be a good idea to add a section to TKC that would only concertrate on Elvis books? Since TKC already has sections for DVD's and FTD's and all... So why not a section for Elvis books too? It just crossed my mind, so I thought I could ask. Nice Idea Journi maybe we could get some cover scans and as for a review maybe just thomething copied from the back cover would be great as that usually gives you a good insight into the contents of the book itself

I think it would be a pretty good idea. Maybe someone will make it happen anytime soon? |

Yes, I have plans for dicographies from other countries too. Right now I'm working on the US singles, and when I'm finished with those I will expand the section to include non-US releases. I had hoped to be there by now, but it's taken a little longer than expected - Elvis sure released a whole lotta records, didn't he? What you've done on the US vinyl so far is excellent btw. |

I'm sorry for having been a little lazy... Like I said, covering the US releases took a lot longer than I had imagined, so I needed a break to do other things that I had neglected. But during next week there will be something new to look at in the discography section... -------------------- "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive..." |

Just noticed the German section. Nice info as always !!!
Really interesting. I haven't collected vinyl in many years. Still, it remains very special. Great Section -------------------- Regards Shaun
Bruce Springsteen He was as big as the whole country itself, as big as the whole dream. He just embodied the essence of it and he was in mortal combat with the thing. Nothing will ever take the place of that guy. |

Great Section for your kind words Shaun... Yes, I've started a section about German EP's. I like the EP format. They usually contained four strong tracks and had great looking cardboard covers. The EP was a much more popular format in most European countries than in Elvis' home country and imo the Germans had some very interesting releases. -------------------- "I'll Never Get Out Of This World Alive..." |
