I've collected this imports through the years in the 70's - 80's and beginning of the 90's as far they add new material to my collection. I don't collect re-releases because they have a nice cover. The same I'm doin' with CD's however there are exceptions for improved sound releases. Nearly all these LP's have found their way to CD releases. colonel snow Yes you can find them on CD I have many of them (see pic) Any "vinyl"boots that come my way I will add to my collection and that will include re-releases because they are just as important to me as a "collector".

it was a hype and in 1985 more 10 inch Lp's were released like A dog's life - Plantation rock - Leavin'it up to you - Special delivery - The legend lives on - Behind closed doors vol. 1-2-3-4.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy2.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy2.gif) Hi Johan, This is the 1979 press USA I think its from (thick card cover, hand written matrix numbers on the run off wax. The first pressing (1970) was said to be from Holland and had thin cover and "type set" numbers on the run off wax. (first press 1000 copies made) -------------------- |

Groovy bootleg vinyl collection, Dennis!
Just went through the whole thread and there were some ultra cool ones. I stopped especially on the LAUREL releases... the guy who did their cover art was a genious... always great pictures used and the overall look of them is very "easy" on the eyes... extremely KOOL stuff. If one would see them on a regular store's shelves I don't think too many would guess they're in fact bootlegs. For some reason I also like the "Colonel Parker's Boy - on the road and in the studio" cover... don't know why though. ;-) |

Tryin to get these all back again I found out that many vinyl collectors are still after them. I have had to pay quite a lot for "some" of these. Prices ebay wise can be from £15/£25 up to £100 for the first early ones ie Hillbilly Cat etc -------------------- |

GREAT collection. Thanks for showing us these incredible records.
I can't get enough of El boot vinyls. If you have photos of boot EP's and 45's, please show them to us! PS/ the KING OF LAS VEGAS LIVE with the songtitles in the left upper corner is very rare one! Does this record comes with dark blue or lighter blue Wizardo-labels? |

Many thanks Dennis!
I was checking in my files and yes, your KING OF LAS VEGAS LIVE is the real original first pressing made mid 70's! It's a real cool and rare one! But you have a lot of other rare and amazing boot stuff! Thanks for asking. Yes, we are still working on the bootleg book everyday. At the moment we are reading the text and double-check all the details and note what info we need to finish the research and going for the next step (doing the layout for the book). Originally I thought we could publish the book before end of this year ... maybe ... let's see. Hope you will enjoy our work! Felix |
