Someone is just 6 posts away from their 3000posts. So i have decided to get in early with their award. And accompany it with a huge thank you for all he does at TKC. Its an immense pleasure that he decided to settle here with us....and i for one am so pleased that he did. To Rex....here is to the next thousand my friend ! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/notworthy.gif) Rex_M.jpg ( 479.07K ) Number of downloads: 1 Thankyou CHRIS You got in early the first 2 times! but I guess the perils of being late, I might have done another 1000... So at least you can sleep easily now..... I wouldn't have been happy on the other sites... love the big wide open spaces at TKC... great for designing an Elvis Project Feature. You only just got all those improvements and upgrades done in time..... have been experimenting with bleeding the Light 'Blue Background into some of the Images recently... and got around the need to use White Lettering Sometimes, by putting it in a Black Picture file Block.... Just to create a different look to the Topic. (as seen in both the Audience Elvis Jump in Features) Like most Award shows ~ Should thank my Mum and Dad ! They said I would Grow Out of the Elvis Thing ! Instead I grew Into It.... (Took them years to understand it really was going to be my Life) Next 1000 No Problem Chris.... Next 10,000 (?) will take a little longer... but have loads of files... and plenty of Ideas..... Some interesting things happened recently...... Part of the Text in the Prodigy CD Release is from the TKC Topic "Vegas 1969" including both parts of Rocky Barra's 69 Review which he didn't have ~ that is a big chunk of the Booklets TEXT. The Graceland Elvis German Magazine, spent a week sifting information out of the Vegas 69 topic a couple of weeks back.... Which will be part of a Large feature of the Next Magazine from them. They asked me about some of my other Topics on TKC for future articles in that Magazine. The Archive Sections on TKC in just a few years contains some really Great Work by TKC Members and I SALUTE YOU GUYS for it. Some of the Old sections of the Info Elvis TKC forums, are lacking in MAGIC... since I have collected files on some of these over the years..... I'm Adding some EXTRA ELVIS MAGIC to those Archive info Feature Topics ~ to upgrade and add to the experience. Thanks again Chris for the nice Shinny Extra Disc... (need to design a new block for it) SincerELy..... REX -------------------- |

Bruce Springsteen He was as big as the whole country itself, as big as the whole dream. He just embodied the essence of it and he was in mortal combat with the thing. Nothing will ever take the place of that guy. |

Thanks Chris......Funny you should mention that......just happen to have this paper in my back pocket........ 1000 posts. Forum - What I hoped to gain - Elvis knowledge - some forum pals - some pictures What I greatly appreciate All of the amazing pictures being posted (list too long of those contributing to note) The vast knowledge of Elvis that some of the folks have and their endless willingness to share. The quiet and serious posts by those such as Jouni (and his jumpsuit section) The livelier picture and info filled posts by those such as Rex (who never fails to amaze me). Occasional posts by members such as Dr K Daily regular posts by those such as Frank and Colonel Snow Unpredictability of some members as to what they are going to post - such as Chris, Johan & Dennis to name a few. Sometimes they post little comments and then - like Mr. Vegas’ Karate pics – what I call ‘Elvis Awesome’ posts Artistic talents from a wide range of folks such as Mr. U.S. Male, tom’s cd covers, DJ Ethan etc. Great company by Elvis fans such as Carole, Phyllis, Lorraine, Elvislady etc. What I didn’t expect - Shaun’s unerring ability to take something that would take anyone else 3 paragraphs to spit out and do it in 5 words or less + one smiley - That following an evening spent on the forum that I would actually be able to go to sleep without being chased by worries regarding work - To find so many true Elvis fans who also have brains and a sense of humor; laughter provided by comics such as Shaun, Chris, Steve/U.S. Male, Rex etc. - To learn as much as I have about Elvis and have access to soooo many cool pics - To find out that it’s okay to cover a significant portion of your home with Elvis stuff (Big thank you Mr. Vegas 74). - To learn that what the astronauts saw from space wasn’t the Great Wall of China after all but rather Mr. Nightrider’s Elvis CD collection - To have anxiety on my drive into work one day because Frank hadn’t yet posted. How do I call 911 in England and explain that they need to check on some guy named Frank who I don’t know where he lives or his last name, but maybe they could get it from another guy named Chris who’s name I also don’t know – you see how this is going - because Frank missed his morning post and he always posts before I log on…….. - To find a significant number of members who have or are experiencing serious life ‘challenges’ and are able to continue moving forward and contributing in spite of it. - To break into a stupid grin whenever I see the name Hexia or Lorraine, (like I have just now (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ), ‘cause I’m thinking of Elvis’ butt. How horribly wrong is that?? Special Thanks to: Anonymous person who put the audience recording on Limewire Norway Elvis who allowed me to figure out that the limewire download was an audience recording and learn about so many more audience and soundboard recordings. For his acknowledgement that he’s a 70’s Elvis fan (thought I was alone) and proud of it. And for posting the info about TTWII-The Complete Works which lead me on a search for more info about this release – which lead me to the forum Jordan of Jordan’s World for his picture palace, library and link to TKC which lead me back to the forum again. Elvis Priestly who’s member info was so funny that I had to phone bofo and share his post. (A priest who has a sense of humour and is a dedicated Elvis fan – immediately placed on my most fascinating people of 2009 list). Nightrider – setting up the forum – the space allowed per post, freedom to post a large variety of topics and types of posts - whether it’s a repeat of a topic previously done, whether it’s in plain type or in colour with pictures, big or small post, or duplicate/similar to someone else’s post. For making a vast number of colours, fonts and smiley’s available Rex – I should probably have 400 more posts by now – all thank yous to Rex for too many things to list. -------------------- |

I was wondering how you are going to take the Middle picture in your Motion GIF to its Forever Home ?
It can be extracted from the gif, if you have the program to Re-edit it...... But since its sitting in one of my files.... I'll place it in this post, so you can FOREVER HOME IT also... (IMG:http://www.elvis-tkc.com/forums/uploads/1255264635/gallery_21960_30_48621.jpg) -------------------- |
