Just launched - our own daily trivia quiz! The questions change each day and are Elvis related four days a week with the reminaing days being about other entertainment and general trivia. There is a running league and pretend prizes! Join in and have some fun with these ten questions a day.

Registration is required and it would be a good idea to use your nickname from here.

How can you check if you have played on today or other days?

I played today and it would not accept my result for todays questions.
I had 8/10. Number 1 and 6 wrong for me.

I logged in again and my result was there.
I don't know a lot of new films or kids films.

One question I did not think was right.

How Sweet It Is . I thought this was a Jr Walker and the All Stars track unless it was a cover version.

OMG one wrong cos my son was calling me
Oh well have to make allowances cos he did have an accident yesterday.
He had an arguement with an iron gate and came off worse, he split the skin from under his nose to the top of his lip and had to have it glued together.....gonna call him scarface from now on LOL!!
He's ok tho still annoying me and playing up so he's fine.

even if it's hard to believe .... i actually CAN read and write!

the one i had wrong was a mere guess! google didn't supply quick enough on page 1 the necessary information what the line requested belonged to. not even 'elvisnews.com' did. that's why i decided to guess.

i wanted to avoid a 4-digit-number .

PS only needed 297 seconds today and needed google twice. BTW, mr. olds did not really found the company requested, but a pre-decessor of it! nitpicking, i know ....

plus what really cost me time was the question about the 2 lines. simply because it deals with vocabulary i as foreigner am not familiar with and didn't immediately understand the question, so i needed the help of LEO as well.

also the simpson-alternatives i had some problem with, since - not knowing by heart the US-channels programs by heart - first i thought one of the other 3 might be a name of a similar series' i am not familiar with.

since i do enjoy learning something new by playing though, that's why my eons for answering don't bother me too much LOL.

kudos to johan: he must be a walking encyclopedia or can google a lot faster than the rest of us.

yes, i'll have a piggery soon . today's quiz was mere guessing since who is married to whom is not my cup of tea, nor is who sang lead in what album. i do prefer questions like 'who sang lead in 'aloha from hawaii'' etc. .

very little i actually KNEW today (like the village people, irresistable etc.).

anything about rappers...I will miss everytime...Don't listen to them or watch them.

I just done the test this morning only to find the submit is not working or it's maintenance mode.
It would have been my fastest time.

I just looked at the score board and my time was 1247 seconds and I got 9/10 correct.
I got the Jailhouse Rock lyrics question wrong.
The submit button was on maintenance mode when I did it today.
I think I was robbed.

Frank...you are taking it too serious....its just a website for fun. There is no-one monitoring when you play. There is nothing we can do about it. The same happened to me a day or so ago. Its just for fun....just stay clear of maintenance times ( which is every morning )...thats all we can all do.

lalalalalaaaa ..... 10/10 in 125 seconds and so far rank 2 behind the invincible MAGS!

and that time is even realistic since except for the character name in question #5 (which i had to google) i actually knew all of them. not even needed bloody guessing, just humming a couple of songs till i reached the lines requested. OK, that's the extra minute that seperates me from MAGS who knows them by heart .

ha, maybe i better check out alternative career opportunities to pig breeding after all!

LOL ... 'rectum of america'. this term is new to me. i do know the term 'bottom of the universe' which probably would be applicable to arkansas as well.

back on topic: today i am ranking number 1 (for maybe an hour or so, i assume ). got 9/10 and - you can't imagine my surprise! - because i knew the answers. the 3-digit abbreviation cost me plenty of time because it has dozens of meanings and i had heard it in a different technical context (automated data transfer) before which would have matched another of the 4 options very well.

the sparkling something from a children's song ... or whatever it is .... never heard of it. so that one was mere guessing - and it was wrong. children's songs, abbreviations etc. - sometimes quite a challenge for us poor little non-natives .

kudos to conor: this game turns out to be a blockbuster! was a marvellous idea, father, and your efforts are highly appreciated. i look forward each day to play.

I just did this quiz and the daily system decided to do some service job and that stopped me entering my results.
This is the 2nd time it has refused my results. Please can you tell them to do their maintenance in the middle of the night.
I am really upset about this and don't tell me it's just for fun. This is not funny when you did your fastest only to find the submit doing service. I played it later only to find they do service when they like.
I did my first go at 10 o-clock UK time, thinking it will be clear of them doing service to their site.


I did the quiz again only to find they have counted when I started the first time. My time is ridiculous. Please can someone tell them to do their service in the middle of the night. Because of this fault I am not playing anymore.

i understand the site that hosts the quiz / the game is a free of charge one (at east i hope so! CONOR!?!?).

so - without having checked in the INTERNIC whom it belongs so, i would assume they are doing their server maintenance at dead of night of THEIR timezone and / or the timezones the majority of their players come from, hoping it will affect fewer users than if they performed it noon their timezone / the majority's noon / afternoon / early evening. (which is their own business anyway - choosing any time they wish)

plus they simply NEED to maintain their hardware and synchronise the results once per day ..... or there wouldn't be any statistics.

if you know they are having problems when you normally play it - why not simply play later when your results won't be affected?

i also think conor spends quite a part of his spare time creating that fun for us - even if he does not really expect 'gratiutude' as he said (none of us who contribute whatever to this board do), just like all of us he certainly is delighted if his players / mates have fun and at least appreciate his efforts (which - i can only speak for myself - i do both ... despite gaining dubious popularity of holding rank 10 on a regular basis ).
