Elvis-TheKingsCourt _ Collectors Corner _ Large Aloha Poster printed on wood

Posted by: Gordon Mar 1 2007, 11:48 PM

Just a few weeks before Christmas I came across a large picture of Elvis in a car boot sale. when my mother saw it she told me "That'll look awesome in your room", to which I replied "Yeah, especially if they want a fortune for it".

i wasn't going to ask the seller how much he wanted, but my mum did it for me. He said he'd part from it for 12 Euros and I took the opportunity at the instance.

I know it was a bargain, but I'd love so have some info on this thing. i've searched and searched on the net...not a piece of info, not a picture could I find. Finally i had a camera at hand and managed to take a picture of it (with a guitar to give you an idea of its size).

If anyoone has any info concerning this..pleeeeeease...i'd be very appreciative.

Used to have one of these posters up in my room when I was a boy, Gordon. Printed in '77 or after. Mine was a regular poster, not mounted on wood. I believe they were pretty popular and relatively easy to find in the late 70's and early 80's........Nice Find, Congrats!!!

at the bottom of that post it read Elvis-Las Vegas at the time it was neat to own.
but years later i found out it was on his Aloha From Hawaii show.

I would not pay a cent more for it, guess the price is a little to high, but.....

It`s a great poster of our man kicking.gif kicking.gif

Its very similar to the one I have on my wall, though mine is in a gold frame. Mine is a poster of a painting of this moment, is yours?
I notice yours is reversed though, the horseshoe ring being on the right instead of the left hand.

Thanks Guys...I didn't even notice it was reversed oops.gif

I think I didn't use the right words here though.

There is no paper involved at all!!!!!!!

This is simply an Aloha pic straight on wood. So it's not really a poster mounted on wood.

Hey Gordon. I have the exact same one hanging on my wall right now buddy. Mine is on really light brown looking wood, about an inch or so thick. It's a heavy son of a gun, lol. I got mine many years ago. If nothing else it could be used for a weapon if the need ever arises, lol

Posted by: Gordon Mar 5 2007, 09:39 PM

yes, it weighs a few kilos certainly.....I think it's less than an inch thick...but the frame is much thicker and heavier lol...could break a donkey's hard head lmao

Still can't find any info on it though...but i'm glad i bought it
